The assessment
The right assessment, at the right age
An assessment looks closely at how you or your child reads, spells, writes and thinks, then explains what is going on in plain terms. The right form depends on age: a Full Diagnostic Assessment from age 8, and a Literacy and Learning Profile for children younger than 8.
No referral needed · APC-accredited · Reports recognised by schools, accepted for DSA
How I work
The standards I work to
Every report I write follows the current guidelines of the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC). That is the framework that schools, universities and workplaces recognise.
I assess against the Delphi definition of dyslexia (Carroll et al., 2025), the current consensus definition agreed by a wide panel of researchers and practitioners. And I work to the standard my Assessment Practising Certificate sets: evidence-based, current, and regularly reviewed.
These are not badges on a wall. They are what makes the report something you can rely on, wherever you need to use it.
